James D.A. Millington

Californian Sierra

Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at King's College London
I am a broadly trained geographer and landscape ecologist with expertise in developing bespoke modelling tools to investigate ecological and socio-economic processes and their interaction.

My research, publications and teaching have focused on vegetation succession-disturbance dynamics and human decision-making in multifunctional forest and agricultural landscapes of North America and Europe using statistical, simulation and spatial modelling tools. I also have interests in the different epistemological roles models and modelling can play in furthering geographical understanding.

This website provides an overview of my research and publications and also hosts my blog which is where you'll find my latest musings and news about recent activities. Feel free to get in touch and download my CV.
